HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
This qualification reflects the role of a variety of workers who use a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge to provide assistance to health professional staff for the care of clients.
Health services assistance involves the worker in direct client contact under supervision. Staff employed in health services need a sound understanding of the nature and principles that are the guiding foundations of the industry, including meeting duty of care and legislative obligations, providing a client-centred approach and a non-discriminatory service.
Whilst not mandatory, work placement for this qualification is highly recommended. Certain elective units, if chosen, may also require mandatory work placement hours to be conducted in specific environments. VET in Schools students undertaking this qualification will be required to complete 80 hours of mandatory work placement in a health services environment.
The Certificate III in Health Services Assistance may be completed through a Smart and Skilled Traineeship / VET in Schools pathway or a Fee for Service enrolment.
No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
