School Age Education and Care Skill Set
Fee-free* Child Protection and School Age Education and Care training under NSW Smart and Skilled funding.
* This training is subsidised by the NSW Government and provides eligible participants with the opportunity to undertake selected nationally recognised units of competency under Smart and Skilled Partial Qualifications arrangement.
These places are being offered as part of the NSW Government’s Skilling for Recovery initiative. This includes providing essential training opportunities to people seeking employment within the Education Support and Education and Care industries to support the development of a skilled and qualified workforce and ongoing employment opportunities.

WORK PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 120 hours of work in at least one regulated education and care service. |

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Participants must be 15 years old or over, no longer at school, living or working in NSW and an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen. Priority will be given to those employed or seeking employment in Education Support or Education and Care and people aged 17 to 24 years. |
WHO SHOULD COMPLETE THIS TRAINING?
People who are currently employed or seeking employment within an Education Support or Education and Care setting including in a school environment, early childhood or school age education and care service. |
PARTIAL QUALIFICATION OUTCOME
Upon successful completion, students will receive two Statements of Attainment for:

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM AND SELF-STUDY SCHEDULE
All sessions are delivered:
- 9am – 10am: Self-study
- 10am – 11am: Facilitated class
- 11am – 1.30pm: Self-study
- 2pm – 3pm: Facilitator on-line
- 3pm – 4pm: Self-study
