The CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk (Child Protection) unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to identify children and young people who are at risk and report in line with legislative requirements. This work occurs within legislative and policy frameworks and carries a duty of care responsibility.
This unit applies to workers in a range of job roles providing services to children and young people including in community services and health contexts.
The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice.
This training relates to the National Quality Standards (NQS) Quality Area 2 – Children’s health and safety.
Our course can be carried out through the following methods:
Self-paced: Full Unit of Competency
- Self-directed learning with access to Student Mentors for support via phone and email.
- Assessment completion required.
- One (1) month enrolment period
- Upon successful completion, students will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
- Group bookings available.

Self-paced: Upgrade Tool
Entry requirement: Participant must hold and provide evidence of successful completion of CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk to be eligible to enrol via this pathway.

- One (1) month enrolment period
- Upon successful completion, students will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
