Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. It’s helping people in NSW get the skills they need to find a job and advance their careers.

 

Smart and Skilled provides eligible students with:

  • An entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III
  • Government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas

Traineeships – KARBEN Training Solutions is a provider of NSW traineeships under Smart and Skilled across all areas of NSW

Entitlement Full Qualifications: 

  • BSB30120 Certificate III in Business
  • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support
  • CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability) – soon to transition to CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability)
  • CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services

Targeted Priorities Full Qualifications: 

  • BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management 
  • CHC50221 Diploma of School Age Education and Care
  • CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
  • CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability – soon to transition to CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government

 

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

You may be eligible for Smart and Skilled funding if you:

 are aged 15 years or older, and

  have left school (excluding home-schooled students who are registered by the NSW Education Standards Authority), and

  are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen, and 

 live or work in New South Wales, or 

 an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student who does not live or work in NSW but lives in specific defined interstate NSW border areas
