Fee-free* Child Protection and First Aid training under NSW Smart and Skilled funding.

* This training is subsidised by the NSW Government and provides eligible participants with the opportunity to undertake selected nationally recognised units of competency under Smart and Skilled Partial Qualifications arrangement.

These places are being offered as part of the NSW Government’s Skilling for Recovery initiative. This includes providing essential training opportunities to people within the Education and Care industries to support ongoing employment opportunities and retention.

Course Information

UNITS OF COMPETENCY
CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting
ENROLMENT PERIOD
Monday 29th March 2021 – Friday 19th June 2021
FINAL ASSESSMENT SUBMISSION DATE
Tuesday 31st August 2021
DELIVERY
First aid training will be delivered face-to-face. Child protection training will be delivered online.
COST
FEE-FREE* for eligible participants – eligibility criteria applies
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Participants must be 15 years old or over, no longer at school, living or working in NSW and an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen. Priority will be given to those employed or seeking employment in Education and Care and people aged 17 to 24 years.
WHO SHOULD COMPLETE THIS TRAINING?
People who are currently employed or seeking employment within an Education and Care setting including early childhood and school age education and care.
PARTIAL QUALIFICATION OUTCOME

Upon successful completion, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for:

  • SG00007432 – Statement of Attainment in Child Protection (Introduction)
